NicotianaGDB is an open-source database for comparative and functional genomics in genome of Nicotiana species.

The genus Nicotiana is an important member of the Solanaceae family, consisting Plants of the genus Tobacco are of high economic value. Among them, common tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum) is an important commercial crop with seeds containing up to 40% oil and leaves rich in nicotine and other alkaloids that are widely used in products such as cigarettes, cigars and pipes. In addition, plants of the genus Nicotiana are widely used in pharmaceutical research, biochemistry, genetics, and other fields. We have collected and integrated published genetic data of various Nicotiana species and built a genomic database of Nicotiana based on Tripal.
